Right, I agree - he does quality work and I sure would love to own one of his custom machines.
However, custom does not always mean ‘designed to specification’ and ‘will last beyond warranty period’. IMO, that is what console manufacturers want to achieve beyond just aesthetics and "being really damn cool".
I bet items like heat dissipation and airflow tend to be sacrificed when trying to stuff a lot of stuff into a small space. It seems to me Ben’s designs are on target for the "kickass" factor, but might have a high failure rate if they were mass produced for the average, abusive consumer.
