“The 2008 Platform reiterates and strengthens past support for legislation that would protect our community, including calls for the passage of hate crimes and comprehensive employment discrimination legislation, and the repeal of the discriminatory ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy in our nation’s military,”

The platform also supports the full inclusion of same-sex couples and their families, with equal rights, benefits and responsibilities. For the first time, the platform opposes the discriminatory Defense of Marriage Act, which bars federal recognition of even those same-sex couples legally married under state law.

“The platform also supports other issues of importance to for GLBT, and all Americans, including a call for a national strategy to combat HIV/AIDS, support for fair and impartial judges not driven by ideology, and requirements that faith-based programs not use federal dollars to discriminate.”

Looks like BO has sucked up big time to the homosexual party if all of these platforms are condoned by him. Special treatment - ‘treat us special, ’cause we’re special…’

Let’s see - research for HIV/AIDS: the only ones I have sympathy for are the people/children who get this filthy virus from blood transfusions and from sex with bisexual partners. It’s to the point that a full blood panel should be required before a non-homosexual person even considers going further than holding hands with a stranger and even then, the surgical gloves would be protection for the handholding. As I understand, this deadly, filthy virus is predominantly spread through anal sex by ‘male’ homosexuals who use no protection. And WE are supposed to be concerned about this? Did they catch the virus by inhaling the sneeze of another person? NO. Outside of receiving a tainted blood transfusion thanks to a homosexual or trading needles with other drugger homosexuals, there’s not that many ways a straight person can get the disease. Infants born to women who have HIV/AIDS are the saddest as they have no choice in the situation.

But to spend government funds in the huge amounts that have been spent to either prevent or cure AIDS? When they do absolutely nothing to avoid the problem? Nope. All of these platforms are about the poor me, protect me, blah blahs of the whiney homosexual community when there’s far more important agendas to be addressed. Remember, no special treatment! You have choices just like we all do - because you make bad choices is NOT OUR PROBLEM but it would be nice if you kept this filthy virus to yourselves.
