The increasing popularity of this ’sport’ is a worrisome trend, especially now that very small children are starting to emulate this behavior and are even joining fighting clubs in order to be the MMA stars of the future. This rise in popularity of MMA is a reaction to fake sports like wrestling which dominated only 10 years ago but are now almost completely replaced by this unfortunately very real blood sport. I didn’t think anything would make long for the days of fake blood and fake combat, but MMA has done just that. Its the sickest trend I have yet seen to emerge from popular culture.
