The issue I have with other countries and their proclamation that they pay more therefore the US should stfu is they aren’t dependent like the US is. First and foremost if every major US city was in distance to each other like some European countries mass transit would be more of a possibility. Texas itself is larger than France, and the distance between NYC and LA is greater than many major cities in Britain or any other major European city.
Let’s not forget our country is a mere 220 years old, we established major in hubs on large coastal areas which happen to be spread far apart, go us!
It’s like anything in the market, if your dependence, need, and intake is very low you will pay more. So what, we pay 3.45, but I bet our dependency surpasses all ten of those countries combined.
