This article is exactly right. Adobe needs to make Linux versions of the Creative Suite apps. Adobe apps are the sole reason I can’t make the switch full time to Ubuntu. Many years ago Adobe had Unix versions of Photoshop and FrameMaker, but they stopped developing these.

I would also love a custom Adobe distro of Linux — it would be the dream of all designers.

And for the record, GIMP is NOT “like Photoshop”. GIMP is Linux’s answer to MS Paint. It is a piece of crap. We need Photoshop desperately, and Google aggrees — they have been funding CodeWeaver’s efforts to improve Wine’s support for Photoshop.
