Vinyl distorts the entire frequency spectrum in a horrible anharmonic fashion.
And the “compression” on a CD is cut off at a Nyquist frequency of like around 22kHz. Humans can’t hear that.
The mechanical noise of a record alone swamps anything a CD cuts off. CD’s don’t have mechanical noise.
I could go on and on and on.
Any “serious audiophile” who prefers vinyl is a serious idiot. The CD is superior in every conceivable way. The only big improvement it really needs is separated channel surround sound and the required space for that. Oh and did I mention that vinyl doesn’t even do stereo correctly? Light and right channels bleed through each other on records. Really vinyl is shit.
