We don’t expect 4-year-olds to pass the SAT either - but we *do* start educating them early, so they have a better foundation to build on.
I don’t think they’re expecting 4-year-olds to have a mature outlook on reproductive health, but maybe just helping them understand hygiene and keeping themselves healthy?
Also, kids who know what sex is (and isn’t) and know that their parents will *never* be angry with them for talking about something or someone that made them uncomfortable isn’t going to hurt.
