Wii sports is a really good game but shallow? I wouldn’t use any of those words to describe it… it’s basically a tech demo included with the console so people can see what it’s all about, and so they aren’t “forced” to spend another $50 for a game when they buy the console.

Although ports like Rock Band are toned down due to lazy developers (Rock Band was toned down because of the hardware, but Rock Band 2 is full featured? Hmm…), the library of games isn’t nearly as bad as people make it out to be. The majority of the games might not be violent, bloody, or be in genres that tend to be put in the “hardcore stereotype” (FPS and Action games), but there are still enough games worth purchasing to keep pretty much anyone occupied.
