Wow it actually works! I have jumped through hoops to get my social media stuff working, I even blogged about it “Ge the Most Out of Social Media on Ubuntu”

My initial thoughts: While it worked painlessly with Pownce’s Air app, apparently the Twhirl Air app is not familiar with the concept of multiple desktops! Just switching your desktop makes it disappear, although it still works in the background. LOL
