Yeah, I don’t think anyone ever said that there was a proven correlation between SAT results and IQ. Actually, I would go so as far as to say that it is quite untrue, since there is so much debate about the usefulness of SAT scores and the role they should play in university admissions, since many excellent students do not do well on standardized exams. In fact, IQ tests are even questionable at the upper levels. I have always heard that they were developed by the US Army to determine who is too unintelligent to perform well in the army; in other words, they were designed to test at the bottom levels with less application and reliability at the upper levels.
I’ll continue to judge intelligence by what a person produces once in university (too bad for George W. Bush and for McCain!) and is capable of saying.
